I’D MUCH RATHER HANG OUT IN A CAFÉ. THAT’S WHERE THINGS ARE REALLY HAPPENING

The main reason our partnerships work is that we absolutely understand them. They also understand us. We have shared goals, and operate in an environment of mutual respect.

Our café vision is for a freshly prepared contemporary food and drink offer led by an “eat with your eyes” experience. We will cook more than 95% of our food onsite.

OUR CAFÉS...

THE CAFE AT FOYLES

The Café at Foyles, at 107 Charing Cross Road, is designed by lustedgreen, the interior specialists behind Foyles London Waterloo Station and Foyles Westfield Stratford City.

During the day, diners are able to enjoy a coffee, light bites and a full meal as light streams into the café through wall-to-wall windows looking out over the back streets of Soho.

Smita Shukla, Associate Designer at lustedgreen comments:

“We have kept the atmosphere relaxed, added design elements that evoke the art of bookmaking, like the typewriter key signage, and the letter-press inspired servery counter.”

ST ALBANS MUSEUM + GALLERY

Built in 1831, the Georgian Grade ll* listed Town Hall building is part of the story of St Albans. It has one of the few pre-Victorian court rooms in existence, complete with atmospheric subterranean prison cells. It also boasts a huge assembly room, with impossibly high-ceilings adorned with beautiful coving and a balcony overlooking St Peter’s street. All these areas have been exquisitely restored. The giant gold framed mirrors reflect the hours of painstaking work spent painting rose gold detail on the ceiling and walls, and the newly fitted lavish gold and crystal chandeliers recently custom-made in Venice.

Start your day with a barista-made coffee and pastry or enjoy freshly made hot and cold lunch options in the Courtroom. Made with locally sourced ingredients, our café offers tempting cakes, freshly baked scones and a selection of speciality teas throughout the day.

St Albans Museum + Gallery is available for event hire.
